Because the appearance of important functions in biological macromolecules such as polysaccharides hasoften been attributed to the regularity of their nano-structures, our research interest focuses on the precisionsynthesis of polysaccharide-based materials with controlled primary and nanostructures. As polysaccharides areabundant biomass resources and can be considered as environmentally benign substrates, in the course of theabove researches, our aim is to develop new functions and applications from our materials.
